Situated along the base of towering Dhauladhar mountain range Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Joginder Nagar is surrounded by nature all around. The institution was established by Queen Lalita Sen of erstwhile State of Mandi. In 1950 the administration of the institution was undertaken by Government and provision of education up to middle standard was made. Its status was then upgraded to High in 1962, Higher Secondary in 1966, High in 1986 and Senior Secondary in 2004.
